Styles
Classical Ballet
Students study the ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE syllabus,
and are nominated for examinations.Pre-school aged children can
get the 'feel' of Classical Ballet by doing Creative and Folk Dance.
Examinations are also conducted by the SOUTHERN FEDERATION OF DANCE.
Jazz Ballet
Students can start
and continue at any age. Jazz Ballet develops your feel for movement
and provides lots of fun for young dancers' first experiences. From
Jazz Ballet, many students venture into Tap dance.
The SOUTHERN FEDERATION OF DANCE and JAZZ
ADDICT syllabuses and examinations are available.
Tap Dance
Tread the boards with the ever popular Tap. Tap
dancing, of African origins, was made popular by performers of all
ages, including Shirley Temple, Fred Astaire, and Gene Kelly. Students
may undertake the SOUTHERN FEDERATION OF DANCE examinations.
Hip Hop
This up-to-the-moment dance style was born in 1979
and evolved from the popular rap genre. For the young, and the young
at heart. Examinations conducted by Broken Beat are offered.
Middle Eastern Belly Dance
Sheer fun, as well as a little bit erotic! Not
to mention - good for you to please your man! Suitable for both
children and adults.
Spanish Dance
Thrilling techniques in the Classical, regional
and Flamenco styles. Provides an exotic and dramatic style of dance,
including fiery footwork and arm movements. Improves your posture
and your attitude.
Latin American Dance
Cha-Cha, Jive, Samba, Rhumba and the naughty
Lambada!....turn yours into a Latin Lover. Exciting music and dance
steps to enjoy.
Scottish National
The swirl of the bagpipes will entice you. The
ghosts of Rob Roy, Mary McGregor and Braveheart will applaud you!
Competitions are held throughout the world in Highland gatherings.
